Breaking up the Monopoly of International Brand VFDs in China

Shengli Oilfield Offshore Oil Development Corporation --- The ocean platform costs tend to be very high. Enviornmental factors such as salt fogs and condensation can be hard on equipment. This working condition is very demanding for VFDs. Chinese users therefor only choose the high quality international brand VFDs for ocean platform applications. In August of 2004, a Hiconics 630KW/6KV VFD was successfully installed on the second water injection pump on the No. 1 Shengli Chengdao Oil Platform.This milestone case broke the commercial and technical monopoly of the international brand VFDs and gained recognition for a domestic Chinese brand.
