4000kw/6.6kv Korean Chemical Plant

In August of 2011, an Hiconics 4000kw/6.6kv VFD was put into operation in a Korean Chemical Plant. One 4000kw/6.6kv MV VFD drives a 10000kw synchronous motor. It allows for the soft start under the poor grid conditions. Frequency fluctuations are ±25%, and the highest voltage fluctuation is 30%. The VFD has improved the starting function and allows for soft start, stable running and synchronous switching functions.
