North Pole Oilfield – The North Pole is bitterly cold, and the earth is covered with ice throughout the year. In October of 2009, three sets of Hiconics’ of 5000kW high power MV VFDs were put into operation in a North Pole oilfield. The VFD was started and run successfully on the first try. It is installed in a container, allowing it to move with the changing oil production sites in North Pole.
